We are newly established at the O'Donnell Brain Institute, Center for Alzheimer's and Neurodegenerative Diseases at the UT Southwestern Medical School.

Our Interests

Protein aggregation and membrane remodeling within brain cells and tissues are critical processes in the brain that are affected by neurodegenerative disease, i.e. Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.

We study the macromolecular basis of such processes in the context of neurons and mammalian tissues, which would ultimately help toward designing more effective imaging tracers and therapeutic agents.

We apply cellular structural biology techniques and complementary methods in this direction, including developing and applying new interfaces and technologies.
